A boil water advisory has been issued by the Southwestern Public Health Medical Officer of Health for all residents connected to the municipal water supply in the Town of Ingersoll.

Until further notice, Public Health advises residents to boil their tap water or use bottled water for drinking, making infant formula or juice, cooking, making ice, washing fruits and vegetables, or brushing their teeth.

To use boiled water, Public Health recommends bringing water to a rolling boil for one minute then allowing it to cool. It may then be stored in clean containers.

This advisory is being issued as a precautionary measure after water sample results from two (2) of six (6) water treatment facilities in Ingersoll had microbiological lab results, indicating that the test was inconclusive for E. Coli and total coliform due to non-target bacterial overgrowth.

Oxford County investigates all instances of adverse water quality and has confirmed:
• Samples from all six (6) municipal wells in the Town of Ingersoll are free of E. coli and total coliform.
• All six (6) water samples from the distribution system were also free of E. coli and total coliform. All four (4) remaining water treatment facility samples results were free of E coli and total coliform.
• The distribution system has been flushed and there is adequate disinfection in the system.
• The two facilities in question have been placed out of service until two (2) sets of resamples have been taken 24 hours apart showing water is free from bacteria.

Monday's First Installation: We successfully installed a VIVA Pro 75 GPD RO system with an alkaline filter in a home using well water, as part of a newly renovated kitchen. To accommodate multiple faucets connected to the storage tank, we split the water lines and included a booster pump. Overall, it was a smooth and successful installation. I would like to share a post highlighting the challenges associated with Woodstock's municipal (city) water. The treatment facilities work diligently to make the water safe for consumption by essentially recycling wastewater and purifying it. However, the process does not fully eliminate all contaminants. As demonstrated by these filters, they become stained with dirt, oils, and other debris. These filters must be replaced annually to maintain water quality.

We traveled to London yesterday to do a repair on a water softener and iron filter that another dealer installed. YES! Do all kinds of repairs and we on all types of equipment! Give us a call today!

Today's install! We removed a softener from a big box store that was 4 years old. Yes, those machines are cheaper but remember the quality is also cheap. The resin they use is 3% cross link or less with Woodstock and area chlorine levels it'll eat it away. We only use 8% cross link, and we guarantee our softeners for 10 years parts and labour.

Today's installation was crazy. A 40-year-old softener made out of metal and a brine tank manufactured by a piece of plastic held together by metal straps! This machine wasn't going anywhere. It stopped working and was replaced with a more efficient softener with full 10 year parts and labour warranty! Thank you, Betty!

Second installation today. This is a whole home filter system. You can put various filters in it to meet your needs. In this case, the homeowner decided on a 5 Micron carbon block filter. This will take out sediment that can pass through municipal water lines and reduce the chlorine as well as smell, taste, and odor.
